Bhutan Travel Itineraries

Day 1: Arrive in Paro and visit Paro Dzong, National Museum of Bhutan, and Kyichu Lhakhang.

Day 2: Take a day trip to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang), one of Bhutan's most iconic landmarks. In the evening, visit Paro Town.

Day 3: Drive to Thimphu (approx. 1.5 hours) and visit the Buddha Dordenma, Memorial Chorten, and Tashichho Dzong.

Day 4: Visit Punakha (approx. 2.5 hours from Thimphu) to see the Punakha Dzong, and the Chimi Lhakhang temple, and explore the local market.

Day 6: Return to Thimphu and visit the National Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Monastery, and Takin Sanctuary.

Day 7: Visit Dochula Pass (on the way back to Paro) for panoramic views of the Himalayas, and stop at Simtokha Dzong before returning to Paro.

Day 8: Free time for shopping or last-minute sightseeing in Paro before departure.

Day 8: Explore Dochula Pass for Himalayan views and stop at the Druk Wangyal Lhakhang. Visit Changangkha Monastery and enjoy a stroll at Tashichho Dzong.

Day 9: Free day for shopping or leisure activities in Paro or Thimphu, or visit local villages to experience rural Bhutanese life.

Day 10: Depart Bhutan from Paro International Airport.
